This double-jointed Baucher bit is a variation of the eggbutt snaffle with additional upper rings. The cheek pieces are attached to the upper eyelets, while the reins are fixed to the main rings. This creates a more stable position in the mouth and a slight poll action.
The double-jointed mouthpiece allows for even pressure distribution over the tongue and bars, supporting refined and precise rein aids.
